Getting Started With a Track Day Experience
A Track Day Experience is a fun and exciting way to get involved in motorsport. It’s perfect for anyone with a valid driving licence (full unrestricted license for motorcycles) and an interest in cars and racing.
Getting started with a Track Day
Before you book your track day, make sure you know what to expect. Most events start with a safety briefing, which will go through the important rules of the day and some helpful tips to improve your time on track.
You’ll also need to bring your driving licence, a spare helmet and long pants. Most track days are run by organisations who rent out circuits for a weekend and then invite members to join them for a low fee.
The best way to find out about track days is to connect with riders in your area and see if they can recommend a good org. You can usually subscribe to their calendar club to receive regular emails of the latest track day dates in your area, and even Europe!
Track days are run all year round but are quieter and cheaper outside of peak season. If you’re looking for a track day during the summer months, it’s a good idea to book as early as possible, or wait until the weather looks better.
There are also Novice Only Track Days available for those with no previous track experience. These sessions are tailored for novices and will include a range of mini-briefings to help you navigate your way around the circuit, as well as plenty of time on track with a friendly instructor to offer guidance.
